Job Duties:
- Supporting students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) in the classroom
- Providin some students with personal care
- Assisting the class teacher in creating a positive learning environment
- Providing one-on-one support to students with individual education plans
- Assisting with personal care tasks for students as required
- Implementing behaviour management strategies effectively
Education:
Minimum Teaching Assistant Level 1 qualification or any other related field.
Experience:
Previous experience working with special needs students, particularly those with SEMH and ASD.
Knowledge and Skills:
- Understanding of special educational needs and disabilities
- Ability to provide personal care support
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of behaviour management techniques
Preferred Qualifications:
- Additional qualifications in special education or related field
Working Conditions:
This role will primarily be based in a classroom setting within a school environment. Some tasks may require physical exertion and personal care assistance.
