You’re the calm in the chaos, the glue that keeps the classroom together
If you’re the steady hand, the quiet encourager, the “are you in tomorrow?” favourite - this one’s for you.
Protocol Education is working with welcoming schools across Southwark, Peckham, Camberwell, and nearby areas, looking for kind, capable Teaching Assistants who know how to bring calm, consistency, and care into every school day.
What you’ll be doing:
-
Supporting pupils 1:1 or in small groups - especially those with SEND or who need a little extra encouragement
-
Helping teachers keep the class on track and the day running smoothly
-
Building trust, boosting confidence, and making learning feel possible for every child
-
Taking part in the magic moments (and the tough ones too)
What you bring:
-
Experience with children or young people - inside or outside school
-
A calm, friendly, and flexible approach
-
SEND experience is a bonus, but it’s your attitude that matters most
What you’ll get from us:
-
Weekly pay (straight through PAYE - no umbrella faff)
-
FREE Thrive training to make you even more school-ready
-
Access to our online CPD academy and a consultant who really listens
-
Local roles that suit your lifestyle and career goals
Not Thrive trained yet? Don’t worry - we’ll cover it. And yes, schools really notice it.
Feel like it’s time to work somewhere that values you as much as the kids do?
Apply now or reach out - we’ll help you find your next brilliant role.
