The Role: General Classroom Support

  • Position: General Teaching Assistant (Curriculum and Classroom Support)

  • Location: Brent, North West London

  • Start Date: January 2026 (Full-time/Part-time)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing support to the classroom teacher across various subjects and year groups (Key Stage 3 and 4).

  • Working with students in small groups and occasionally 1:1 to consolidate learning and boost confidence.

  • Assisting with the preparation of resources and displays to create an engaging learning environment.

  • Supporting the school's behaviour policies to maintain a positive and productive classroom atmosphere.

  • Helping to address the learning needs of all pupils, including those requiring general academic assistance.

What We're Looking For

The ideal candidate will:

  • Have relevant experience working with children or young people, ideally within a secondary school setting.

  • Be proactive, enthusiastic, and possess excellent organisational and communication skills.

  • Demonstrate a passion for supporting the education and development of young people.

  • Be available to commit to a full-time role starting in January 2026.

  • Hold a valid Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or be willing to obtain one through Protocol Education).
