Job Duties:

  • Supporting classroom activities and assisting teachers in lesson delivery
  • Working with individual students or small groups to provide additional support
  • Assisting in the preparation of teaching materials and resources
  • Supervising students during break times and off-site activities
  • Helping to maintain a safe and orderly learning environment

Required Qualifications:

  • GCSEs or equivalent qualifications in English and Maths
  • Previous experience working with children or young people
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills

Education:

Minimum of GCSE level education

Experience:

Experience working with children or young people

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Understanding of classroom dynamics and educational practises
  • Ability to work collaboratively with teaching staff
  • Strong communication and organisational skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification
  • First Aid certification

Working Conditions:

  • Normal school hours, Monday to Friday
  • Varied tasks requiring physical mobility and standing for extended periods
  • Potential exposure to challenging behaviour or situations

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
