Teaching Assistant – Sensory Regulation & Personal Support

Location: Sunderland
Contract: Full-Time, Long-Term
Start: Immediate
Pay: Excellent daily rate

This role is perfect for someone who enjoys working hands-on with learners who benefit from sensory support, emotional regulation strategies, and structured routines.

What you’ll do

  • Support pupils with sensory regulation throughout the school day

  • Help learners access the curriculum with appropriate sensory breaks and techniques

  • Assist with personal care as needed with dignity and respect

  • Maintain clear and accurate records of pupil progress

  • Work closely with the wider team to personalise support

You’ll need

  • Experience working with sensory needs, Autism or complex learning profiles

  • Strong observational and reflective skills

  • A calm, thoughtful and respectful approach

  • TA qualification is desirable

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
