Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Supporting teachers in meeting the individual educational needs of children in their care.
  • Contributing ideas, suggestions, and assistance to classroom and curriculum management.
  • Aiding in the preparation, organisation, and development of programmes, particularly in key areas like literacy and numeracy.
  • Assisting in setting up work activities, materials, and equipment to facilitate engaging lessons.
  • Observing, monitoring, and assessing children’s progress while maintaining accurate written records.
  • Providing care and welfare support to ensure the well-being of all pupils.
  • Assisting in managing pupil behaviour in a positive and constructive manner.
  • Presenting and displaying children’s work to celebrate achievements and inspire learning.
  • Building positive relationships with parents and carers to support pupils’ learning journeys.
  • Undertaking additional duties that align with the nature of the role as requested by the teacher or school leadership.
