Teaching Assistant

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist teachers in delivering engaging and effective lessons.
  • Provide one-on-one and small group support to students who need additional help.
  • Support students with special educational needs (SEN) to ensure they can access the curriculum.
  • Help prepare classroom materials and manage classroom resources.
  • Supervise students during break times, field trips, and other school activities.
  • Contribute to the maintenance of a safe and positive learning environment.
  • Assist with administrative tasks as needed.

Person Specification:

  • Previous experience working with children, preferably in an educational setting.
  • A passion for education and supporting young learners.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Patience, adaptability, and a positive attitude.
  • Relevant qualifications (e.g., CACHE Level 2/3 Certificate in Supporting Teaching and Learning) are desirable but not essential.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
