Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the delivery of engaging and age-appropriate lessons and activities.
- Implement effective phonics instruction to support early reading and writing skills.
- Support individual students and small groups, focusing on their specific learning needs.
- Help create a safe, positive, and stimulating classroom environment.
- Monitor and record student progress, providing feedback to teachers and parents.
- Assist with the planning and preparation of learning materials and resources.
- Support children with personal care needs, if required.
About You:
- Relevant qualification or training in early childhood education.
- Experience working with young children, preferably in a school setting.
- Proficient in phonics instruction and passionate about early literacy.
- Patient, nurturing, and enthusiastic about supporting young learners.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Desirable:
- Additional training or experience in special educational needs (SEN).
