Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the delivery of engaging and age-appropriate lessons and activities.
  • Implement effective phonics instruction to support early reading and writing skills.
  • Support individual students and small groups, focusing on their specific learning needs.
  • Help create a safe, positive, and stimulating classroom environment.
  • Monitor and record student progress, providing feedback to teachers and parents.
  • Assist with the planning and preparation of learning materials and resources.
  • Support children with personal care needs, if required.

About You:

  • Relevant qualification or training in early childhood education.
  • Experience working with young children, preferably in a school setting.
  • Proficient in phonics instruction and passionate about early literacy.
  • Patient, nurturing, and enthusiastic about supporting young learners.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Desirable:

  • Additional training or experience in special educational needs (SEN).
