Protocol Education are currently working with an "OUTSTANDING" mainstream primary school based in Enfield. The Headteacher is currently looking to onboard an experienced Teaching Assistant to support students across all primary year groups.

The school has been established for over 50 years now and has been rated outstanding by OFSTED in their most recent inspection. Based in the heart of Enfield, the school has close links to the local public transport i.e. Underground station is 5 minutes walk away and bus stops right outside the school.

As a Teaching Assistant you need:

  • sensitivity and understanding
  • excellent verbal communication skills
  • active listening skills
  • patience and the ability to remain calm in stressful situations
  • to be flexible and open to change
  • to enjoy working with other people
  • the ability to teach pupils how to do something
  • the ability to create the best conditions for learning or teaching new things
  • to be able to carry out basic tasks on a computer or hand-held device

As a Teaching Assistant you will:

  • help teachers prepare lesson materials
  • set up and tidy classrooms for lessons
  • work with students to make sure they understand
  • watch, record and report the progress students make
  • look after children who are upset or unwell
  • lead classes with help from the teacher

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
