Job Responsibilities:

  • Assist the classroom teacher in effective lesson delivery
  • Help plan and prepare educational resources
  • Ensure the welfare of students is always safeguarded
  • Support students with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND)
  • Promote a positive and inclusive learning environment

Required Qualifications:

  • Level 2 Teaching Assistant or Level 3 Teaching Assistant
  • Experience working with SEND students

Education:

  • Relevant teaching assistant qualifications

Experience:

  • Previous classroom experience, particularly with SEND students

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Demonstrated enthusiasm and dedication to supporting student learning
  • Proficient understanding of SEND practices and methodologies
  • Effective team collaboration skills
  • Resilience and adaptability in managing challenging situations

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Additional training in specific areas of SEND support

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
