2-Form Entry Primary School | BS13 | 1:1 and small group support

This is a role where calm, consistency, and connection really matter.

We’re supporting a community-focused primary school in BS13 who are looking for an Autism Support Teaching Assistant to work closely with pupils on the autism spectrum. The school has a strong SEN framework, clear routines, and a team who understand that good support starts with understanding the child.

You’ll be helping pupils navigate the school day, access learning in a way that works for them, and build confidence both in and out of the classroom. You won’t be working in isolation, the SENCO and teaching staff are experienced, approachable, and genuinely supportive.

Your role will include:

  • Providing 1:1 or small group autism support

  • Supporting communication, routines, and emotional regulation

  • Helping adapt learning to suit individual needs

  • Building strong, trusting relationships with pupils

Experience with autism is ideal, but a patient, empathetic approach is just as important. Thrive training is a big plus, and if you’re not already trained, we can help you get there.
