Some children need more than academic support, they need someone who understands behaviour is communication.

This Behaviour Support / Pastoral TA role focuses on supporting pupils who may struggle with emotional regulation, behaviour, or engagement in the classroom. You’ll be part of a wider pastoral approach within a school that believes in early intervention, consistency, and kindness.

This is a role for someone patient, emotionally aware, and confident building relationships. You’ll help pupils reset after tricky moments, support positive behaviour choices, and work closely with staff to help children feel safe and understood.

The role includes:

  • Supporting pupils with behaviour and emotional needs

  • Helping children re-engage with learning after difficult moments

  • Working closely with teachers and pastoral staff

  • Being a steady, trusted adult throughout the school day

If you’ve worked in behaviour support, SEMH, youth work, or similar settings, this could be a great fit, especially if you want to feel genuinely supported while doing challenging but rewarding work.
