Teaching Assistant – KS1 Primary
Location: Peterlee
Pay: £90–£110 per day
Contract: Full-time, term-time
Start Date: After half-term
This welcoming primary school in Peterlee is looking for a Teaching Assistant to support learning in Key Stage 1. You’ll work closely with the class teacher to help pupils develop early literacy, numeracy and social skills.
Key Responsibilities

Provide classroom support during whole-class teaching

Deliver small group and 1:1 interventions

Support phonics, early reading and number work

Help maintain a positive and engaging classroom environment

Support pupils with additional learning needs where required
The Ideal Candidate

Previous experience working with primary-aged children

Confident, friendly and proactive

Able to support learning in a structured but nurturing way

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
