A school in Newcastle are looking to appoint a Teaching Assistant will provide support for students who have a range of Special educational  needs and will be able to build rapport with them, assist them with their classwork and assist the class teacher in delivering an effective and engaging lesson. This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference to their development. You will be working in the classroom and implementing programmes of support designed specially to meet the pupils’ needs. 

Successful candidates will work 1:1 with selected students, and also support small groups both in mainstream classes and in the inclusion area via intervention sessions. In addition, you will work closely with teachers to differentiate resources and set and monitor targets. You will have the opportunity to be part of a team that is truly changing lives and positively transforming the local community. All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
