We’re working with a vibrant secondary school in Birmingham looking for a caring, confident Teaching Assistant to support pupils in class, in small groups, and sometimes one-to-one. It’s a role that’s all about connection, patience, and making a real difference every day.

The Role

As a Teaching Assistant, your day-to-day might include:

  • Supporting pupils in class (mainstream or SEND)
  • Helping students stay focused and engaged with learning
  • Offering emotional and behavioural support where needed
  • Working closely with teaching staff to deliver interventions
  • Encouraging positive routines and building confidence in learners

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience working with young people ideally in a school or support setting
  • Strong communication, positivity, and a calm approach
  • Ability to build relationships and adapt to changing needs
  • A passion for helping students learn and succeed
  • A DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
