Protocol Education are looking for someone to work for a secondary school based in Worksop as a Teaching Assistant. The role is to start asap and whilst initially on contract, it has a good chance of becoming permanent.

The Role:

You will work closely with students with children with special education needs (SENd) to help them progress both inside and outside of the school setting. Creating strong connections, you will help assist classroom Teachers with day-to-day activities while providing extra help to those in need.

The school:

A large academy that caters to children aged 11 to 18. The school is a very easy commute for those that drive. This role sits in the SENd department which is well led, friendly and has received great reports from others who currently work (through Protocol-Education) in the department. The school is known as a creative school with a good investment into Arts & other extra-curricular activities.

The Successful Candidate:

Whether you have previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant or within a caring environment (Care-home etc.). Alternatively, you may hold a degree on Psychology or have a personal background caring for children with SENd (e.g. as a parent or child-minder for a child with SENd).
Whatever your background, you will have a desire to work with children and to help them reach their full potential.
As an individual you will be outgoing and confident in your abilities to provide the best outcomes for your students.
It is desired (although not essential) that applicants have extra qualifications such as Moving and Handling, Team Teach or Medication Administration.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
