Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare, develop, evaluate, and review lessons and teaching programs in alignment with school policies.
  • Ensure that all students have access to well-designed, stimulating resources, engage in challenging activities, and work within an interesting and well-maintained environment.
  • Assess, record, and report on students' work and progress, adhering to school policies, and provide clear guidance on their current performance levels and strategies for improvement.
  • Contribute to the preparation and development of schemes of work and teaching materials, responding to school policies and changes in national and school assessment procedures.
  • Participate in pedagogical reviews and discussions with colleagues to share best practices. Contribute to the planning and review cycle in accordance with the School Improvement Plan.
  • Take responsibility for Health and Safety matters within the lesson environment.
  • Stay well-informed about contemporary issues in teaching and learning, curriculum development, new technologies, education trends, and national policies. Demonstrate commitment to continuous self-improvement.
  • Serve as a tutor, being the primary contact for the welfare and overall academic progress of individuals in the tutor group, and contribute to the development of a constructive group identity.
  • Engage in the development, preparation, and delivery of Personal, Social, Health, and Economic (PSHE) education.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
