Job Title: Teacher of Graphics

This is a fixed term position until July 2025.

Job Duties:

  • Design and deliver engaging graphics lessons to students
  • Evaluate and provide constructive feedback on student work to support their learning
  • Create and implement innovative teaching strategies to enhance student understanding
  • Collaborate with colleagues in departmental meetings to develop the curriculum
  • Supervise and support students in practical design projects

Required Qualifications:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Degree in Graphic Design or a related field
  • Proficient in graphic design software and techniques
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Education:

Degree in Graphic Design or a related field

Experience:

Prior experience teaching graphics or related subjects is preferred

Ideal candidate will have an Art-related Degree and experience teaching in post-16 education. Previous experience in the Graphics industry is advantageous, but not essential.

 

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Proficiency in graphic design software such as Adobe Creative Suite
  • Understanding of design principles and techniques
  • Ability to engage and inspire students

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Postgraduate certificate in Education (PGCE)
  • Experience working with students from diverse backgrounds

Working Conditions:

  • Work in a school setting with access to classrooms and design studios
  • Full-time hours, temporary position
  • Collaborative work environment with other teaching staff

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
