The role
You’ll be joining a close-knit, highly professional English team who are passionate about improving outcomes and creating engaging learning experiences. The role involves teaching across the key stages and contributing to the continued development of the subject within the school.
You’ll have the chance to:
- Plan and deliver high-quality English lessons that engage and challenge all learners
- Be accountable for the progress and achievement of the students you teach
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to share best practice and develop the curriculum
- Contribute to a culture of high expectations for learning and behaviour
We’re looking for someone who
- Has experience teaching English across the key stages, ECTs are very welcome to apply
- Is a consistently good or outstanding classroom practitioner
- Has high expectations and the ability to inspire, motivate and enthuse pupils
- Is committed to raising standards for all students and continually improving their practice
- Enjoys working as part of a team and is willing to lead initiatives and show impact
- Is confident using technology to support learning and keen to innovate
- Has a genuine passion for making a difference to young people’s lives
