Teacher of Design and Technology - Resistant Materials
Hillingdon
September 2025
An exciting opportunity has arisen to appoint a dynamic and suitably qualified Teacher of Design and Technology – Resistant Materials, with a passion for the subject and the ability to teach across all key stages. This role is suitable for both early career teachers (ECTs) and experienced teachers who hold a strong degree in Design and Technology or a related subject. For ECTs, three weeks’ work in July will be offered as an induction to the school.
The Design and Technology department offers an engaging KS3 curriculum and is a popular choice at GCSE, with results consistently exceeding the national average. Many students progress to study Product Design at A Level, where results are also above the national average, and students regularly go on to pursue degree-level courses. The department has a strong track record in national competitions such as the V&A Design Ventura Award and the Bloodhound Challenge.
The school is known for its high academic standards, excellent student behaviour, and strong sense of community. The robust house system encourages students to take leadership roles, and our values of community, aspiration, respect, and endeavour are central to everything we do (Ofsted, 2018).
