Role Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and differentiated lessons tailored to the needs of students with a variety of SEN, including autism, learning disabilities, and physical impairments.
  • Create and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) in collaboration with the SEN team and other specialists.
  • Foster a positive, inclusive, and safe learning environment that encourages student participation and progress.
  • Utilize effective behavior management strategies to support students with complex needs and challenging behaviors.
  • Work closely with teaching assistants, therapists, and other professionals to provide holistic support for each student.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Experience: Previous experience teaching in an SEN setting is essential.
  • Qualifications: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent, with a specialization or experience in SEN.
  • Skills: Strong classroom management skills, with the ability to adapt teaching methods to meet individual needs.
  • Passion: A genuine commitment to supporting the educational and personal growth of students with SEN.
  • Team Player: Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with a proactive and flexible approach.
