Teaching Assistants Seeking Supply Teacher Roles – Free Training Provided

Protocol Education work closely with secondary schools across Bristol who regularly request skilled, confident Teaching Assistants ready to step up into Cover Supervisor / Unqualified Teacher roles. Schools know the value of TAs who understand classroom routines, behaviour expectations and pupil support.

If you’re an experienced TA looking for more responsibility, classroom leadership experience, or a stepping stone to teacher training, this role offers flexible work (2–5 days per week) and quick progression into long-term opportunities.

What the Role Involves

  • Leading lessons using pre-prepared resources

  • Supporting pupils during classwork

  • Managing behaviour calmly and consistently

  • Feeding back to teachers after lessons
