Job Description

The TA/Youth Worker/Support Assistant will be responsible for providing support and assistance to young people in various educational and community settings. The role will involve working closely with teachers, social workers, and other professionals to help young individuals achieve their full potential.

Job Duties:

  • Supporting young people with their educational and personal development
  • Assisting with classroom activities and providing one-on-one support
  • Helping to create a safe and inclusive environment for young people
  • Collaborating with teachers and other professionals to address individual needs
  • Participating in team meetings and contributing to the overall well-being of young people

Required Qualifications:

  • GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths
  • Previous experience working with young people
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills

Education:

  • Minimum of GCSE level education

Experience:

  • Experience working in a similar role with young people

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Understanding of the challenges faced by young individuals
  • Ability to build positive relationships with young people
  • Basic knowledge of safeguarding procedures

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Level 2 or 3 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning
  • First Aid certification

Working Conditions:

  • Full-time position, working hours may vary
  • Contract-based role with potential for extension
  • Salary range of £80 - £95 per day
