Schools are slowly returning to normality, this next half term will be crucial for September opportunities. Now is the time to be in contact with Protocol Education.

A Special needs teaching assistant is required in a School in the Borough of Bromley. This role will involve working one to one with students with autism as well as additional learning difficulties in an SEN setting.

You will be supporting primary school children between the ages 4-11 delivering a good work ethic, providing inner confidence for each child, building interpersonal and social skills. Ensure each pupil has an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) and are therefore looking for a hard working and proactive individual to provide positive choices about their behaviour in and out of school.

You must have experience working with special needs for this role and be willing to undertake any personal care duties such as feeding and changing. The role is for 5 days a week Mon-Fri and can be on an on-going basis for the right candidate.

Main Duties:
• Supporting students with work set by the class teacher
• Helping with the behaviour management of the classroom
• Working with the teacher to assess pupils levels and ability
• Ensuring the schools ethos and policies are being implemented
• Liaising with parents and carers
