Why work with Protocol Education?
Supply teaching should feel freeing, not fraught. When you work with Protocol, you’re backed by people who genuinely get education and actually listen to what you want.
We don’t fling you into schools blind or leave you chasing bookings. Instead, you get clear info, local schools that suit your style, and a friendly consultant who’s on your side. Add weekly PAYE pay, free CPD, and zero umbrella company faff, and suddenly supply feels… doable again.
If you want flexibility without feeling like a spare part, you’ll feel right at home with us.
The role
We’re working with a range of welcoming primary schools across Brentwood who need reliable, confident supply teachers to step in and keep learning ticking along.
You might be covering a day here, a week there, or taking on something longer term if that’s your thing. No pressure, no hard sell, just options that fit around you.

What we’re looking for
-
UK QTS or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification
-
Confident classroom and behaviour management
-
Adaptable, friendly, and happy to muck in
-
A love of teaching, even if full-time isn’t for you right now
What you get with Protocol
-
Weekly pay through PAYE, no umbrella companies
-
Choose when and where you work
-
Free access to our online CPD Academy
-
A dedicated local consultant who actually picks up the phone
