Job Duties:

  • Deliver engaging and effective teaching sessions to students in the absence of regular teachers
  • Follow lesson plans provided by the school and ensure all necessary materials are prepared
  • Maintain a positive and inclusive learning environment for all students
  • Manage classroom behaviour and ensure compliance with school policies
  • Provide feedback to regular teachers on student progress and any issues encountered

Required Qualifications:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Demonstrated experience in teaching or working with students in an educational setting
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Education or relevant field

Experience:

Minimum of 1 year of teaching experience

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Strong understanding of the national curriculum
  • Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet the needs of diverse learners
  • Effective classroom management skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Additional certifications in specific subject areas
  • Experience working with special educational needs (SEN) students

Working Conditions:

  • Regular school hours with potential for additional responsibilities or extracurricular activities
  • Interaction with students, parents, and school staff
  • Possibility of working in different schools within the region

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
