Job Description: As a Student Support Worker, you will work closely with students to provide practical and emotional support, helping them overcome barriers to learning and achieve their full potential. You will work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and external agencies to ensure that students receive the support they need to thrive academically and emotionally.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-to-one and small group support to students with a range of social, emotional, and behavioral needs.
  • Develop and implement individual support plans in collaboration with teachers and other professionals.
  • Support students in managing their emotions and developing coping strategies to deal with challenges.
  • Monitor student progress and provide regular feedback to teachers and parents.
  • Promote positive behavior and reinforce school policies and expectations.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with children or young people in an educational setting is desirable.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Empathy and the ability to build positive relationships with students.
  • Patience and resilience in dealing with challenging situations.
  • A commitment to promoting the well-being and academic success of students.
