At Protocol Education, we work closely with secondary schools across Leeds and Wakefield, helping sports graduates step into schools to gain paid, practical experience that genuinely strengthens future teacher training applications.
This is an ideal route if you’re considering PE teaching, coaching or a long-term career in education.
What you’ll be doing

Supporting PE lessons and school sport across KS3 and KS4

Assisting teachers with behaviour management and lesson delivery

Leading small group activities and interventions

Acting as a positive, energetic role model for young people
You’ll be busy, active and learning on the job every day.
Who we’re looking for

Sports Science, Sports Coaching or related graduates

Confident communicators who can engage secondary-aged pupils

Reliable, proactive and happy to muck in

People considering teacher training or long-term work in schools
No formal teaching experience needed, just the right mindset and enthusiasm for sport and young people.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
