Protocol Education are seeking a Speech and Language Therapist to join a residential Primary School in Chigwell.

Job Duties:
- Assessing and diagnosing speech, language, and communication difficulties in primary school children with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs
- Developing and implementing individualised therapy plans to address identified speech and language issues
- Providing therapy sessions to improve communication skills, social interaction, and emotional regulation
- Collaborating with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support the holistic development of children with SEMH needs
- Maintaining accurate records of therapy sessions and progress reports
Required Qualifications:
- Recognised degree in Speech and Language Therapy
- Registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC)
- Experience working with children with SEMH needs
Education:
Minimum of a degree in Speech and Language Therapy
Knowledge and Skills:
- Strong understanding of speech and language disorders and their impact on learning and development
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team
- Good organisational and time management skills
Working Conditions:
This role involves working in a primary school setting with children who have Social, Emotional, and Mental Health needs. The therapist may need to adapt to varying environments within the school and collaborate closely with teachers and other professionals.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
