Job Duties:

  • Provide speech and language support to secondary school students
  • Assist students with communication difficulties in accessing the curriculum
  • Collaborate with teachers and other support staff to create individualised learning plans
  • Conduct assessments to identify students' specific needs and progress
  • Implement strategies to promote speech and language development

Required Qualifications:

  • Relevant qualifications or experience in speech and language therapy or equivalent
  • Experience working with secondary school students
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Experience:

Previous experience in providing speech and language support in an educational setting

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Understanding of speech and language development principles
  • Ability to assess and create individualised support plans
  • Strong collaboration and teamwork skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working with students with special educational needs

Working Conditions:

  • Work primarily within the school environment
  • Full-time hours with occasional flexibility required
