Job Title: Special Needs Teaching Assistant

Job Duties:
- Supporting the teacher in delivering tailored educational activities for students with special needs
- Assisting students with their personal care needs, including feeding, toileting, and hygiene
- Supervising and supporting students during classroom activities and outings
- Implementing individual education plans (IEPs) and behaviour management strategies
- Providing emotional support and encouragement to students with special needs
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum of GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths
- Previous experience working with children or individuals with special needs
- Knowledge of special education practises and strategies

- Understanding of special education practises and strategies
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

- Level 3 Diploma in Specialist Support for Teaching and Learning in Schools (or equivalent)
- First Aid training
Working Conditions:
- Work primarily takes place in a classroom setting
- May involve assisting students with physical disabilities
- Potential exposure to challenging behaviours
- Regular interaction with students, teachers, and parents

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
