Special Educational Needs Support Worker - Wiltshire

Protocol Education is working alongside SEND/SEMH schools, and mainstream school SEN departments to appoint Experience SEND Support Workers. The main aim of an alternative provision school and SEN departments is to provide the best possible learning environment for students with varying special educational needs. 

The role would be wide ranging due to the nature of the students, however would mostly involve the supporting of students in lessons and carrying out extra interventions to help develop general understanding of topics and social and behavioural capabilities.

Job Overview

-          Support students with varying behavioural and SEND issues through lessons and school life

-          Work as part of the SEND and wider teaching team

-          Maintain a strong level of behavioural management

What the School is Looking For

-          Previous experience of working with students with children and young people

-          Experience of working with children with behaviour and SEND is desirable

-          Good level of behavioural management

-          Ability to build positive rapport with both students and staff

-          Resilient and nurturing presence and characteristics

-          Ability to be flexible and adaptable to changing tasks/situations
