Role Overview:

We are seeking a passionate and enthusiastic Spanish Teacher to join our Modern Foreign Languages department. This part-time position involves teaching Spanish to students in Key Stage 3, helping them develop a strong foundation in the language and culture.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging Spanish lessons to KS3 students.
  • Develop and implement a creative and effective curriculum that meets the needs of all students.
  • Assess, monitor, and record student progress, providing constructive feedback.
  • Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes active learning and student participation.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and contribute to the overall development of the MFL department.
  • Participate in parent-teacher meetings, staff meetings, and professional development opportunities.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Degree in Spanish or a related field.
  • Experience teaching Spanish at the secondary school level, preferably KS3.
  • Strong knowledge of the Spanish language and culture.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to inspire and motivate students.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
