We’re working with a well-run secondary school in Newham looking for an engaging Sociology Teacher to join their humanities team. The school has strong sixth-form uptake, supportive leadership, and students who respond well to clear structure and passionate teaching.
The role includes:

Teaching Sociology at GCSE and A-Level

Planning and delivering thought-provoking lessons that encourage discussion and critical thinking

Supporting students with exam skills, essay writing, and sociological analysis

Working closely with a collaborative humanities department

Maintaining clear routines and positive classroom behaviour
The school is looking for someone who:

Holds UK QTS (or is working towards it)

Has experience teaching GCSE and/or A-Level Sociology

Can confidently deliver the specification and prepare students for exams

Brings enthusiasm, organisation, and a calm classroom presence

Enjoys contributing to the wider life of the school and sixth form
