Social Sciences Teacher

What you’ll be teaching as a Social Science Teacher

You’ll deliver Social Sciences lessons across KS4 and KS5, depending on your specialism. The department values real-world links, debate and helping students develop strong analytical thinking.

Your main responsibilities as a Social Science Teacher

  • Teaching high-quality lessons in your Social Sciences specialism
  • Encouraging critical thinking, discussion and independent ideas
  • Preparing students for assessments and coursework
  • Providing constructive feedback to help students progress
  • Working closely with colleagues to share resources and approaches

What you’ll bring as a Social Science Teacher

  • QTS with experience teaching Social Sciences subjects
  • A passion for helping students understand people and society
  • Strong communication and high expectations
  • Confidence teaching older learners, especially KS5

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
