Social Care Worker

Salary: £89.35 - 100.00 per day
Job Published: about 2 hours ago

If you’re someone who shows up with patience, empathy and a calm presence, this role could be a brilliant fit for you. We’re working with a welcoming SEN school that supports children and young people with a range of additional needs, and they’re looking for a Social Care Worker to join their team.

You don’t need to come from an education background. If you’ve worked in social care, supported living, youth work or you’ve simply got a passion for helping others, you’ll settle in well here.

What you’ll be doing

  • Supporting pupils with daily routines, emotional regulation and confidence-building

  • Helping create a safe, consistent environment where young people feel understood

  • Working 1:1 or in small groups depending on pupils’ needs

  • Using positive, relationship-based approaches set out by the school’s pastoral and SEN teams

  • Supporting communication, independence and wellbeing

  • Building steady, trusting relationships with young people who rely on calm adults around them

What the school is looking for

  • A caring, reliable person with a warm and patient approach

  • Someone who communicates well and stays calm under pressure

  • Experience in care, youth work, SEN, residential work or personal support is helpful, not essential

  • A team player who’s confident, flexible and ready to learn

  • Someone who wants to make a real difference to young people’s lives

If you’ve supported vulnerable young people before, fantastic. If you’re new to the sector but have the right attitude and heart, they’d still love to meet you.
