What You'll Do:

  • Provide invaluable support to students with a range of special educational needs.
  • Collaborate closely with teachers to implement tailored learning plans.
  • Create a safe and inclusive environment where every child can thrive.
  • Offer one-on-one assistance to ensure each student's unique needs are met.
  • Foster strong communication with parents and caregivers to share progress.

As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing valuable support to our students and teachers. We are seeking an individual who possesses the following qualifications and attributes:

1. Qualifications and Experience: This is not essential but you have to have experience working with SEN pupils.

  • Hold a relevant teaching assistant qualification or have equivalent experience.
  • Previous experience working in an educational setting is highly desirable.

2. Passion for Education:

  • Demonstrate a genuine passion for working with children and helping them reach their full potential.
  • Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with students, teachers, and parents.
  • Show empathy, patience, and understanding when working with students of different abilities and backgrounds.

3. Supportive Nature:

  • Assist classroom teachers in planning and implementing lessons, providing additional support to students as needed.
  • Aid in creating a positive and inclusive learning environment that fosters students' social and emotional development.
  • Collaborate with teachers and other support staff to implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with special needs.

4. Adaptability and Flexibility:

  • Be willing to work across different year levels and subjects, providing support wherever necessary.
  • Assist in the preparation and organization of teaching materials, resources, and equipment.
  • Willingness to participate in additional training and professional development opportunities.

5. Team Player:

  • Collaborate effectively with teachers, other teaching assistants, and school staff to create a harmonious learning environment.
  • Contribute to a positive and supportive school culture that values teamwork, respect, and collaboration.
