Sensory Learning Support Assistant

Are you creative, patient, and passionate about helping children learn through their senses?
We’re looking for a Sensory Learning Support Assistant to join a warm, specialist environment where pupils with complex needs can thrive through tailored sensory experiences and individualised learning.
What you’ll be doing:

Supporting pupils aged 4–19 with autism, sensory processing needs, and PMLD

Creating and delivering sensory-based learning activities
-
Encouraging communication through touch, sound, movement, and visuals

Working closely with teachers and therapists to deliver bespoke support

Providing gentle personal care and helping pupils feel safe and included
What we’re looking for:

Experience working with children or young people with complex needs

A calm, caring, and observant nature

Willingness to adapt and think creatively

Understanding of sensory processing and alternative communication methods

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
