Sensory Learning Support Assistant

Are you creative, patient, and passionate about helping children learn through their senses?

We’re looking for a Sensory Learning Support Assistant to join a warm, specialist environment where pupils with complex needs can thrive through tailored sensory experiences and individualised learning.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Supporting pupils aged 4–19 with autism, sensory processing needs, and PMLD

  • Creating and delivering sensory-based learning activities

  • Encouraging communication through touch, sound, movement, and visuals

  • Working closely with teachers and therapists to deliver bespoke support

  • Providing gentle personal care and helping pupils feel safe and included

What we’re looking for:

  • Experience working with children or young people with complex needs

  • A calm, caring, and observant nature

  • Willingness to adapt and think creatively

  • Understanding of sensory processing and alternative communication methods

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
