SEND Unit Teaching Assistant – Primary – Ruislip – £95–£110 per day
Long-Term Role • Autism & Communication Needs • Experienced SEND TA Required
This highly supportive primary school in Ruislip is looking for an experienced SEND Unit Teaching Assistant to join their dedicated on-site SEND provision.
You’ll be working with pupils who have Autism, ADHD, speech & language needs, social communication challenges and sensory regulation needs, following structured routines and personalised learning plans.

⭐️ What you’ll be doing:

Supporting pupils with Autism, ADHD and communication needs

1:1 and small-group learning within the SEND Unit
-
Using visual timetables, structured tasks and sensory strategies
-
Helping children regulate emotions and manage transitions
-
Supporting EHCP targets and personalised plans
-
Working closely with the SENCo, therapists and specialist staff
⭐️ You MUST have:

Previous SEND experience in a school or specialist setting
-
Experience supporting Autism, communication needs or ADHD
-
Strong understanding of visual supports and routine-based learning
-
A calm, patient, reliable approach
-
Confidence in managing sensory and emotional regulation needs
Desirable (not essential):

Autism Awareness / SEND qualifications

Experience in a SEND Unit or specialist provision

Knowledge of speech & language supports
