SEND Unit Teaching Assistant – EYFS/KS1 (Ruislip)

We’re looking for an experienced and qualified SEND Teaching Assistant to join the SEND Unit of a welcoming primary school in Ruislip. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference to pupils who need extra support within a smaller, nurturing environment.

About the Role

  • Full-time, term-time role from 8:00 am to 3:30 pm, Monday to Friday

  • ASAP Start
  • Based within the school’s specialist SEND Unit supporting EYFS and KS1 pupils

  • Working closely with the class teacher and SENCO to deliver tailored 1:1 and small-group support

  • Supporting children with ASD, ADHD, speech and language delays, and non-verbal communication needs

  • Helping pupils develop social, emotional and communication skills through consistency and positive reinforcement

Training and Development
You’ll have access to ongoing CPD opportunities through Protocol Education, including Thrive, Autism Awareness, and Behaviour Management training to support your professional growth.

What We’re Looking For

  • Previous experience supporting children with SEND in a school setting is essential

  • Strong understanding of early learning and child development

  • Confident using visual supports, communication aids and regulation strategies

  • Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification preferred
