Do you enjoy helping children feel understood, supported and ready to learn? Protocol Education is looking for a SEND Teaching Assistant who can bring patience, positivity and a calm approach to pupils who need a bit more help to make the school day work for them.

You don’t need to be an expert. If you’re kind, reliable and open to learning, we can support you with training and guidance.

What you’ll be doing

  • Supporting pupils with a range of additional needs, including autism, speech and language needs and sensory differences

  • Helping pupils follow routines, settle into lessons and feel comfortable in the classroom

  • Offering gentle encouragement and clear guidance during learning tasks and transitions

  • Working with teachers and therapists to adapt activities so pupils can take part confidently

  • Helping pupils build independence, communication skills and self-esteem

  • Celebrating small steps of progress and creating a positive, reassuring environment

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
