Teaching Assistant – SEMH School (Day-to-Day Cover)

Pay: £90 to £95 per day
Contract: Flexible day cover, immediate start

What your role will involve

Supporting pupils with social, emotional, and mental health needs

Helping young people regulate, reset, and re-engage in learning

Using de-escalation and trauma-informed approaches

Working closely with teachers, mentors, and behaviour teams

Modelling consistency, empathy, and positive communication throughout the day
You’ll be a great fit if you have

Experience in SEMH, PRUs, youth work, mentoring or behaviour support

A calm, reassuring manner during challenging moments

Strong communication skills and a warm, down-to-earth approach

A genuine desire to help pupils build confidence and resilience

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
