This is a role where small steps forward matter. You’ll be part of a nurturing team who work together to make each day feel structured and positive for every pupil.
What you’ll be doing

Supporting pupils with a variety of SEND needs, including autism, communication differences and sensory needs

Helping children settle into routines, take part in learning and feel confident in the classroom

Using visual tools, structured activities and gentle prompts to support understanding

Offering steady reassurance during tricky moments, transitions and busy parts of the day

Working alongside teachers, therapists and support staff to keep expectations consistent

Encouraging independence, confidence and positive relationships
Who we’re looking for

Someone warm, patient and observant

A good listener who builds rapport easily with young people

Experience in care, youth work or SEND support is helpful but not essential

A team-focused person who enjoys supporting others

Someone open to learning new strategies and developing SEND knowledge

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
