SEND Teaching Assistant – Ruislip (High Needs Support)
£95–£105 per day | Immediate Start | Full Time

Are you an experienced SEND Teaching Assistant with a strong background supporting high-needs pupils? I’m looking for someone confident, patient and skilled to join a lovely primary school in Ruislip, working closely with pupils who are pre-verbal, require feeding support, and need high levels of engagement and consistency throughout the day.

This role is hands-on, purposeful and perfect for someone who genuinely wants to improve a child’s daily experience.

The Role
• Supporting pre-verbal communication using PECs, visuals, gestures or alternative communication approaches
• Assisting with feeding, mealtime routines and sensory regulation
• Engaging pupils in sensory, structured and play-based activities
• Supporting attention, interaction and emotional regulation
• Following individual support plans and working closely with the class teacher and SENCO

What I’m Looking For (Mandatory Requirements)
Previous school-based SEND experience — essential
Experience supporting high-needs pupils, including pre-verbal children and feeding support — essential
• Calm, nurturing and resilient approach
• Confident supporting sensory needs and challenging behaviour
• Reliable, proactive and able to work effectively within a team
