We’re working with a wonderful specialist setting supporting pupils with autism, communication needs and complex learning profiles. They are looking for a caring, reliable and enthusiastic SEN TA who can bring patience, structure and positivity into the classroom.

This is a brilliant opportunity for anyone with experience in SEN, autism support, behaviour support, care work, youth work or psychology, or for those who want to build a long-term career in education.


About the Role

As an SEN Teaching Assistant you will:

  • Support pupils with autism, communication needs and sensory processing differences

  • Work 1:1 and with small groups to help pupils access learning

  • Use visuals, structured routines and calm, low-arousal approaches

  • Support pupils through emotional regulation and transitions

  • Work closely with teachers, therapists and the wider SEND team

  • Create a safe, predictable learning environment where pupils feel understood

We’d Love to Hear From You If You Have:

  • Experience in SEN, ASD, SEMH, care, residential support or behaviour roles

  • A calm, reassuring approach when pupils feel overwhelmed

  • Confidence working with non-verbal pupils and sensory strategies

  • A caring, child-centred outlook with a genuine passion for SEND

  • The ability to work full time, Monday to Friday

  • A willingness to learn new skills and follow structured routines

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
