Looking for a role that makes every day feel meaningful?
We’re working with a warm, inclusive specialist school in the Sunderland area that’s looking for a Level 3 SEND Teaching Assistant to join their team. The school supports pupils aged 4–16 with a variety of additional learning needs, including autism, speech and language delay, and social, emotional or mental health needs.

You’ll be part of a close-knit, passionate team that genuinely values its support staff. Expect to collaborate with skilled teachers and therapists, learning something new every day and making a difference from day one.

Your day-to-day will include:

  • Supporting individual pupils and small groups with learning and social development

  • Helping implement structured routines and behaviour support strategies

  • Providing sensory or communication support where needed

  • Working closely with the SENCO to adapt lessons and track progress

You’ll need:

  • A Level 3 qualification (Supporting Teaching & Learning or equivalent)

  • Experience working with children or young people with additional needs

  • A caring, calm and resilient approach
