SEND Teaching Assistant – High Needs Unit – Ruislip

£95–£110 per day | Full Time | Immediate Start

I’m looking for an experienced SEND Teaching Assistant to join a high-needs SEND unit within a primary school in Ruislip. The pupils have significant additional needs — many are non-verbal, have very limited engagement with adults, and need a TA who understands how to support complex SEND in a calm, structured way.

The Role
• Supporting pupils with high-needs SEND
• Using visuals, PECS and sensory strategies
• Encouraging communication, engagement and regulation
• Helping pupils access structured and play-based activities
• Working closely with the teacher and SENCO

What You Need
Previous experience working with children – essential
Experience in SEND schools or specialist provisions – essential
• Confident supporting non-verbal pupils and complex needs
• Calm, patient and resilient approach
• Strong teamwork and communication skills
