What you’ll be doing

  • Supporting pupils with autism, communication needs, sensory needs, and social emotional needs

  • Helping create structured, safe spaces where pupils can thrive

  • Working closely with teachers, therapists, and the SENCO

  • Using visuals, routines, and calm approaches to help pupils feel secure

  • Celebrating progress, even when it’s tiny

  • Bringing patience, positivity, and a sense of humour to each day

What the school is looking for

You don’t need decades of experience, but you do need heart.
If you’ve worked with SEND children or adults before, great. If you’ve supported behaviour, SEN, care work, youth work, or similar roles, you’ll fit in well.

You’ll need:

  • A calm, resilient approach

  • Good communication skills

  • A genuine interest in supporting young people with additional needs

  • Adaptability, curiosity, and patience

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
