SEND Teaching Assistant – South Shields
Location: South Shields
Pay: £89 to £109 per day
Start: Immediate, long term
Love helping pupils find their spark? This specialist SEND setting in South Shields is looking for a calm, patient TA who’s brilliant at building trust and creating safe routines.
You’ll be supporting pupils with a mix of needs, including autism, communication differences, and sensory needs. No two days are the same, but the smiles you’ll see along the way make it all worth it.
Your role:
• Support pupils aged 11 to 18 with personalised learning
• Work closely with therapists, teachers, and support teams
• Create structured, positive learning moments
• Bring patience, flexibility, and a warm presence
You’ll need:
• Experience in SEND or care settings
• A steady, nurturing approach
• Willingness to learn and try new strategies

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
