You don’t need lots of experience to get started. If you’ve supported young people before, worked in care, coached, or have some understanding of SEND, that’s definitely desirable. But the school is equally happy to guide someone who’s reliable, warm and ready to learn.
What you’ll be doing

Supporting pupils with a range of SEND needs, including autism, communication differences and sensory needs

Helping pupils follow routines, settle into lessons and engage in learning

Using simple, structured strategies to bring clarity and reassurance

Assisting teachers with adapted tasks, small-group activities and individualised support

Offering steady encouragement during transitions and trickier parts of the day

Helping pupils build confidence, independence and positive learning habits

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
